Recovery

Wow! B's bachelorette party was last night... it was...interesting? But in a fun way. and a "fun" way. I'm not much of a party-er or club-er , but the two bars we went to were very fun. I think it helps that there were so many of us. I mean, going by yourself is not a ton of fun, but our group was big enough that a few could be dancing/singing but we didn't all have to be. I could even be convinced to go back to either or both bars with a few other people. For me, that's a big step, and I think it's one in the right direction. It was definitely a late night though. I don't think I've been out that late and been that awake since the last time I worked midnight bingo...
And I was reminded of why I hate shoe shopping. Because not only does nothing fit, when you find a pair you think you can handle, you end up rubbing blisters all over making it impossible to walk barefoot! so needless to say, I'm giving those shoes a few days before I put them on again. And when I get out of the shower, I'm going to clean, neosporin, and bandage my tootsies! Ow!

My Plans for today are: Shower and throw on lounge clothes. Do laundry so I have clothes to wear to work this week. Take out trash. Run the dishwasher (then unload and reload what needs to be). Maybe run to the grocery store for bread and lunch meat. clean air filter in my room so I might be able to sleep at night.
Should be a productive afternoon if I can ever make myself get out of bed. Guess I'll try! Have a great day!

What a great day!

Today has been a great day! I don't know why... it wasn't a particularly good day at work, but for some reason, I feel like it was great. I think that, in part, it's this beautiful weather. and the fact that I got free lunch courtesy of one of our agents helped. And I'm loving that I'm going home earlier now! So now I'm enjoying the weather while the dogs bark at the kids riding bikes down the street. And I'm supposed to be going shopping this evening with my roomie... not that I love to shop, but it should still be fun!

A Beginning

Howdy! I'm new to this whole "blog" thing, but I thought I'd give it a go. I'm trying to change some things about myself in the coming months, and this will be part of it. I hope to provide and interesting and insightful look into my life and the changes I and undertaking. I'll outline those changes as I go along. Meanwhile, poke around a bit and enjoy!
